Sunday, April 20

Okay, so this is going to be a bit of a 'pickle' post. [Its basically adding together a couple of my posts with my new camera and creating what i hope will be a reasonably good read.] I am sorry that i've been providing pretty crap posts this last week, but my computer/coursework issue is all sorted, and from now on its back to regular Fashionyou.

Firstly, i would like to mention that i now have my camera. I was pretty pleased i could get one for so cheap, even though it isn't as good quality as my last one. Its by Samsung and it was £69.99, which isn't at all bad.

Anyway, moving onto the actual post.. This weekend, after purchasing my camera i had plenty of time to browse the shops [3 hours to be exact] which meant i had the opportunity to check out some of the high street items I've posted about in the last couple of weeks. If you think back to my post about jumpsuits [the one asking for your advice on a certain Gap ensemble?] Alot of you told me to get it, and probably more were not so enthusiastic. So, i went to check it out, and was vaguely pleased...

I always find it nice how everything is laid out in nice 'colour zones' in Gap so you can find everything you need.. but its equally annoying that the sizes are so strange. Think you're a size 8? In Gap you are at least a 4. The jumpsuit turned out to be a bit baggy and as many of you said, did make me look like i was 4 years old. I didn't buy it, despite the staffs persistence [and surprisingly good looks...]. But i think i may check back to see if they have any smaller sizes.

You may also remember the Marimekko post? If you do, then you'll remember how optimistic i was about the range? I liked the colours, but not all of the shapes & cuts etc...?

Unfortunately most of it was gone, but i did manage to try on this short/t-shirt outfit. As Coco said, unfortunatelty it was very poor fabric, so much so i couldn't imagine it holding together for long... But hey, it did make me feel summery, although its probably not what i'd spend my money on...

I guess i shoudn't really be taking photos in changing rooms, but i was too excited to get my camera out...

I hope you are all well. Mollyxo.

really? i don't actually loathe the gap jumper, but perhaps a smaller size would be slightly better. either way i'm still liking it.

I think a smaller size must be perfect to you;). I don't like jumpsuit, but that one doesn't look bad at all

I like the colours of the Marimekko range, but hmm, still not sure about the style of the clothes.

you're so cute, love the outfits too ♥

That jumper was cool:-
I agree about the fabric on the Marimekko pieces, pretty bad! Although a friend of mine looked stunning in the black and white dress it looked like a sack of potatos on me.

You look so cute in the orange shirt and shorts!

I saw a girl today wearing the top that's in the first picture you posted, she was indian and it looked amazing with her skin and long hair! It takes confidence to pull off such a bold print. the shorts look amazing paired with a simple top like you did!

I like the jumper but I think it would make you look younger but you definitely can pull a jumper off (a feat that many cannot do.) Love the blog!

ah yes i remember the gap jumpsuit. i also remember that i thought that the stella mccartney was better, even for a jumpsuit.
there is a shop here, c&a, that has almost as annoying sizes as gap, the clothes are always really large, and normally i'm a size 34 or 32 (which are the smallest sizes in germany) but 36 fits me too, but at c&a even 34 is so big that i couldn't possibly wear the things! at least it doesn't give you a minority complex, there are also shops where you think you're a size 34 and then the only things that fit you are size 40 ^^
oh and i also remember marimekko - and guess what? i have even found the marimekko for h&m collection in OUR TOWN, where the two h&ms basically never sell the designer collaboration collections. i liked the things, okay, but i probably wouldn't buy them and they didn't look that great in the shop after all. the patterns were sometimes a bit too "big" for my taste. the shorts look cute on you though.

Those shorts are so cute

I'd love to trade links :D. I'll put you on mine now.
I too tried the marimekko collection, the store didn't have even half of the collection and the one that fitted me was the maxi dress, though the only almost fitting size was a bit too big and I'd had to do some operation on it to make it work...blah blah blah :D.

Nice pieces. I always take pictures in fitting rooms, it saves money because a picture is so much more objective.

Smart shoppers prefer buying bargain clothes in Wholesale Clothing stores rather than having it individually purchased on retail clothing shops. Nice blog. I love it!

Dominique Reighard
‎"Look at what they are talking about :0)"

Tyra Banks, look at what you’ve done. Just what the world needs, another reality star turned pop star. I knew the second Tyrant made the girls write their own songs and film an accompanying music video, it would ignite a few of their inner pop stars to come out. On cue, Dominique Reighard released her debut single and music video the day after the episode aired. Making matters worse… I actually don’t mind it. Dare I even say, I like it. UGH.

First off, let’s get the obvious out of the way. Girlfriend looks gorgeous in the video and the picture above. FIERCE. On ANTM, the judges coined her Jaylonc√© (J. Lo & Beyonce) and that description couldn’t be any more appropriate, especially once you see the clip.

Photographer Derek Blanks makes his directing debut with Dominique’s “On Top Of The World“. It’s only fitting he directed it, since he appeared in an episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” during the “alter ego” photo shoot. That Bravo show gave birth to “Tardy For The Party“, which allowed every reality star to think they also can have a successful novelty single.

Dominique Reighard “On Top Of The World” Music Video

http://youtu.be/qD17iSKm-XM

Shot in Atlanta, Georgia, the visual odyssey is the perfect compliment for Dominique’s bass heavy pop track. Props go to Reighard for including a few Top Model jabs in the clip. There’s even a scene where faux Tyra (Dominique) shaves off faux Nigel’s hair. ANTM’s old intro asked, “who’s on top?“. In this case, it’s Dominique. Check out her debut music video below.
